Happy July & Camp NaNoWriMo Freebies!

Happy July everyone!

I’m back.

I say that because though I never officially went away, I’ve been just awful about posting lately. For that, I’m sorry.

I can’t believe it’s July already! I feel like so much has happened in my life and on top of that, I’m trying to write ALL THE BOOKS.

Seriously. In fact, last month alone, myself and new writing partner Brian LeTendre wrote a novel called HARROWED. It’s a young adult horror book (think 80’s slasher) and it’s becoming a book THIS September (9/22/15 to be exact)! I couldn’t be more excited about it and I  can’t wait to share it with all of you.

In the meantime, feel free to Add it to your Goodreads or sign up to help with the cover reveal at the end of August!

With that said, Brian and I are bopping straight into the sequel of our new Woodsview Murder series with book 2 for Camp NaNoWriMo.

Looking to improve your writing this summer?

Whether or not you have ever written a novel before, I really encourage you to try your hand at NaNoWriMo.

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing month (in November every year) but in July, there is an earlier session that is called Camp NaNoWriMo. It’s different than normal NaNoWriMo because you don’t have to complete a whole 50,000 word project. You can work on a book of poetry. A screenplay. A 10,000 word story. You have more freedom with what you are working on without the pressure of writing a whole book, which understandably is why many people don’t start the challenge in the first place.

Did I mention that I have the BEST CABIN EVER THIS YEAR?! Because I do.

If you’re curious about it, I encourage you to check out CampNaNoWriMo.org for details. It’s an exciting thing to finish and complete a project in ONE month. For me, NaNoWriMo really gets me to focus on a heavy goal and reach for the stars.

Did I mention that it’s completely free to join? What do you have to lose? Even if you don’t complete your project you’ve won bvecause you’ve started something new.

In the next few weeks I’ll be posting tips, tricks, and resources to help you get through Camp NaNoWriMo. It’s not too late to join!

And this Friday, I’ll be giving away a new freebie Camp NaNoWrimo calendar, designed to keep you on track!

Happy camping,
