The Night Harvest – SIGN UPS!

Do you remember The Dark Carnival?

The Haunted House?

You can refresh your mind here and here. The Dark Carnival even went so well that we published an ebook out of it!

I love our creeptastic October showcases with every inch of my bones.

And I have good news…Your favorite dark writing showcase is back this again, creepier than ever.

This year’s theme is…

Night Harvest!!

Night Harvest is inspired by a small town Harvest Festival.

Think dark of night, cornstalks, tractor rides, scarecrows, pumpkins, cider, remote farms, etc. You get the picture.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite themes yet!!!!

Details

Night Harvest is a writer & illustrator’s showcase of short stories and drawings that are dark in nature, macabre, or horror themed. Stories may take place anywhere, in any time period, and with any characters. But it must involve the Night Harvest, which is a Harvest Festival. All writers are welcome. All genres are welcome.

This year’s Pen & Muse October writing showcase is predominately invite only due to time constraints to put something like this on! Not because I don’t love all of you. Because I do love all of you. Jessi and I are running the show so reach out if you have any questions!

If you have been selected as one of our V.I.P.’s, you’ve already heard from us and are good to go. If you weren’t already contacted but you’d LOVE to be a part of it, sign up today! We’d love to have you.

We will only be hosting 20 stories total, so don’t wait!

Sign up now!

Once our sign up list fills up, that’s it! Of course, if there’s a special circumstance or something I should know, feel free to email me. Here are the specifics below!

Illustrators / artists – Artwork can be done in any medium. Art pieces must involve a Harvest Festival in some way, though those are the only guidelines. It doesn’t matter if it’s inside, outside, one room, etc. Use your imagination! Any and all illustrators / artists are welcome. Must be original work. Must be able to send in a high resolution picture or scan of image. We are willing to include any information for the piece and buy links. Art must be sent in by October 1st, 2015. If you need more time due to a special circumstance, let me know.

Authors / Writers – Stories must revolve around a Harvest Festival. We’re hoping for the same creepy, macabre, spine chilling fun as last year but we’re not making any rules other than it must involve a Harvest Festival. Stories must be between 1000 to 4000 words and must be original pieces. All genres and all writers welcome. Short stories must be sent in by October 1st, 2015. If you need more time due to a special circumstance, let me know.

Stories and illustrations will be shared throughout the month of October and promoted on PenandMuse.com.

If you want to be a part of the Night Harvest, please sign up! I’d love to have you!
